CURRENT OPENING
Position: POOL MANAGER
The Club is looking for a someone who can self manage their time and responsibilities. The pool manager ensures that the pool opener performs the daily jobs needed to keep the pool chemistry up to WA specifications. The pool manager is responsible for troubleshooting and anticipating water quality issues, etc. to keep the pool in optimal condition. This may be achieved by opening the pool 2 or 3 times a week, or by checking on the pool during the day and adjusting chemicals after hours.
Qualifications
Job Duties
May (Memorial Day Weekend through September (Labor Day, or as decided by Board)
Weekdays: 6:15AM (M-F) so the pool is ready for the first use of the day , Water Aerobics class starts at 8:00am.
Weekends: 8:30 AM — pool opens at 10, Sat/Sun.
Average time spent at the pool: 1hr 30min to 2 hours daily to open the pool

Position: Lifeguard
Lifeguard Purpose:
Oversees the Mirrormont Country Club Pool ensuring the safety of the patrons in the swimming area
Duties:
Must be 15 years of age and possess a current Lifeguard Training Certification with Professional Rescuer Cardiopulmonary (CPR) certificate upon employment.

Position: Pool Opener
Pool opener performs the daily jobs needed to keep the pool chemistry up to WA specifications.
The pool opener will work closely with the pool manager to troubleshoot and anticipate water quality issues, etc. to keep the pool in optimal condition.
Qualifications:
Previous experience with pool maintenance/chemical balance desired. Must be willing work with chemicals involved with maintaining a safe pool, and learn proper safety when handling chemicals and follow safety rules set forth.
Detail oriented-keep accurate records.
Must be 18 years of age (due to chemicals involved)
Daily Opening Duties:
Hours for Pool Openings:
May (Memorial Day Weekend through September (Labor Day, or as decided by Board)About 6:15AM (M-F) so you can get through all the steps.
Weekday Open: 7:45am (water aerobics session starts at 8:00am the pool needs to be open by 7:45am)
Weekend Open: 8:30am (pool opens at 10:00am, Sat/Sun.)
Expected hours daily: 11/2 to 2 hours
Compensation: dependent on experience

- If no pool experience, desire to learn pool chemistry and equipment management.
- Must be willing work with chemicals involved with maintaining a safe pool, and learn proper safety when handling chemicals and follow safety rules set forth.

Job Duties
- Supervise daily opening of the pool, and probably opening it on mornings when usual opener is not available/back in college.
- Removing the cover
- Safety check
- Daily pool chemical check
- Record daily chemicals levels
- Adding chemicals as needed—(calculating amount needed, correct handling of chemicals)
- Vacuuming pool
- Empty outside trash and recycling if needed
- Checking all equipment, troubleshoot when possible, coordinating with Pool Trustee on broken equipment
- Weekly pool chemical check
- Routine cleaning of the pool, such as tile cleaning as determined by Pool Manager and Pool Trustee
- Routine maintenance of equipment ex.: backwashing filter, cleaning filters, etc.

Position: Lifeguard
Lifeguard Purpose:
Oversees the Mirrormont Country Club Pool ensuring the safety of the patrons in the swimming area

- Monitors activities at the pool to prevent accidents.
- Rescues swimmers in danger of drowning.
- Administers First Aid.
- Cautions swimmers regarding unsafe practices and safety hazards; enforces and adheres to pool rules and regulations.
- Follows emergency action plan and procedures established in the event of an emergency.
- Maintains order in the pool and adjoining areas.
- Inspects facilities for cleanliness; completes general pool cleaning and maintenance duties.
- Responsible for the availability and safekeeping of emergency equipment (rescue tubes, backboard, signs and other equipment).
- Determines chlorine content and pH value of water, using water testing kit, and record readings.
- Provides general information on pool operation to patrons.
- Completes required paperwork.
- Knowledge of pool equipment and maintenance.
- Knowledge of lifesaving methods and procedures, including first aid and standard resuscitation measures.
- Knowledge of rules and regulations governing conduct of the public at pools.
- Knowledge of swimming pool sanitation and chlorination systems.
- Skilled in the application of lifesaving techniques.
- Skilled in swimming.
- Ability to react quickly and calmly in emergencies.
- Ability to perform rescue actions, administer first aid and CPR.
